WWI?

Although I believe the United States did much good, based on the WWI reading, I do not believe the US should have fought in WWI. Just based off of what we had just learned about the war of 1812, I don’t think we should have aided the British, and if William Jennings is right, Britain sucks just as much as Germany, because they fought very similar to Germany. The US fighting in WWI will eventually lead to the US fighting in many other wars in the world that we really have no need to fight in because they didn’t HAVE to fight in it. For example WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Iraq, etc. At the time, the US wanted to fight because Germany was sinking US ships, but really, traders chose to go to Britain, they didn’t need to. Before WWI, the US always chose to stay out of foreign affairs and we thrived as a country because we didn’t care what other people did, we cared about ourselves. There is no reason why American blood must be shed just because other countries have to fight in order to be happy. 116,516 Americans ended up dying from WWI. Many died from Disease. Would the US have saved these live if they would have never went to war? Was the cost of going to war greater than what would have occurred if they wouldn’t have gone? I guess we will never know.
